Until 2005, the Commission organised a major conference every two years, featuring nationally and internationally-renowned speakers and a range of workshop sessions on a wide selection of topics of current interest. The Commission has now adopted a new approach and aims to organise “Focus Days” catering for smaller numbers but on a rather more frequent basis, and looking at more specific themes.
The new-style Focus Days have included:
"Human Rights and Refugees" (May 2006)
“Live Simply” (October 2006)
“From Violence to Wholeness” (March 2007)
“Celebrating Creation” (November 2007)
“Faith Doing Justice” (March 2009, see report in Summer 2009 issue of MouthPeace)
Other events
“Quick News” regularly carries reference to forthcoming events organised by or in association with the Commission. “MouthPeace” regularly carries reviews of recent events held locally or further afield.
Where requested, we can provide links here on the website to J & P conferences and events run by other organisations.
